Why I'm Running to become the 2nd District council Person

The 2nd District deserves a council person who is transparent in their actions and works towards more transparency in the council and city government.
The 2nd District deserves a council person that is responsive to the needs and people of the District. I have and will continue to work to address our community concerns.
the 2nd District deserves a council person who will work collaboratively with all parties towards goals. Importantly, I will be the elected official that will work with all segments of the community and NOT be divisive. I will work to address public safety and housing with Council, the City and State
Why I am the right person?
I’ve raised my family here in Wilmington and know there are things that can be better. My career has been about getting things done in organizations by finding out what needs to be done and finding and working with the people that can get those things done. I have spent 30 years at SEPTA, starting as a Bus Operator, Apprenticeship Coordinator and being President of the Transport Workers Union and now working in management at SEPTA as a System Safety Officer. In my many leadership roles I've never utilized the term “Bossing” or " Boss"because it deflect leadership accountability. I know first-hand it takes a team working together to solve problems and get results.
I will be accountable to our 2nd District by working to expand services for seniors and our youth.
I will be the 2nd District Council Person that our district deserves by being Transparent, Responsive and Collaborative for the betterment of our district.

- I am a husband and father of three sons.
- 30-Year Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Agency (SEPTA) Employee; current position is a System Safety Officer. I investigate Accidents, Incidents, and Collisions that involve buses, trains, and trolleys.
- Former Union President, Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 234.
- Pursuing an MBA in Emergency Management Preparedness.
- 1st Vice President of Wilmington Democratic City Committee

Volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

- Red Cross Volunteer for over 5 years: DCS Logistics Coordinator.
- Work with Wilmington Fire Department. Distribute free smoke detectors to residents during "Sound The Alarm" Outreach.
United By A Common Goal
- I am committed to making a positive impact in my district. As a lifelong learner and leader, my priorities will be the needs of the residents in the 2nd district.
- Providing and supporting our youngest and oldest residents is vital.
